My version of the “scooped” style of single coil pickups. Wound medium-hot, with plenty of clarity and twang, especially in the 2 and 4 positions.

A smooth, medium-output neck humbucker. A round, warm tone when used clean, but still plenty of clarity, even with high gain. Pairs well with a bridge Hayabusa, especially when using the middle position for clean or edge-of-breakup tones.

Magnet: Alnico 8

This was the first custom pickup that I wound, and it’s still my favourite. Totalling at around 17k for a 6-string version it’s definitely high output, but still incredibly versatile, especially when rolling back the volume. With an Alnico 8 magnet and mis-matched coils, it has a focused low end and softer high end, along with being very touch sensitive.

This set was created as an upgraded version of the pickups in an import signature model guitar, but following the same overall style. The pickups are deliberately mis-matched, with a neck pickup that is closer to the “PAF” style and a much higher output bridge pickup.

A custom set based on the Hayabusa and Merlin, made for Giuseppe Taormina of Xenos and Sirrush.

A slightly higher output, with excellent clarity for high gain, especially when down-tuned.
